Junkie for the charts? I was watching CBS's Sunday Morning this week and they were doing a piece on chart junkies in America. It made me sad, though I don't think it was supposed to. The reason for my sadness is, on the surface, the reason that people call chart junkies judgemental and closed-minded, but there is more to it than what you may assume.
One of the statistics (and I'm really not good at recalling numbers) had a majority of American artists calling themselves "shallow copycats" and "mind-numbing imitators." Now, I can buy that.
